Bizzy Bee Stay-at-home-Moms!

I spoke to one of my Bizzy Coupon Bees this afternoon and found out that she will be homeschooling her little girls this year for the first time.  So, I decided to share these links with her and you all.  I really wish I had home schooled my children but did not have the foresight to do so.  Homeschooling was still very much in its infancy 40 years ago and then only backwoods hillbillies and hippies home schooled.  I still wanted to anyway but my husband was firmly against it.  So, I worked outside my home educating other people's children while strangers enjoyed my children's early pre-school years.  If I had the choice to make again, I would DEFINITELY be a stay at home mom like many of you and I would home school my children at least through their pre-school years.

A few of you stay-at-home moms have children who have graduated from high school and all the way  down to little ones in diapers.  There's something in these links below for each of you wherever you are in your stay-at-home journey.

If you have family and friends who are not stay at home moms or dads, talk to them and help them understand that the time they give to their families will never be a time they will regret.  My family has embraced staying at home with their children.  My daughter-in-law, son-in-law, and two nieces have devoted their lives to their little ones early pre-school years.  They and you will never regret that decision.

Please, share these links with others in your circle of family and friends who have expressed an interest in being a stay-at-home parent:

Home School and Stay-at-home Mom Links
- This link has 10 pages of links to other homeschooling mothers and couponers.  If you have found the secret to organizing your life around your family, why not write a blog about it.  It can be very lucrative.  If you have a facebook and/or twitter account, you are halfway there.  Just start jotting down your motherly ramblings and ideas about parenting, school ideas, educating your children and then watch your blog take off. Other mothers love hearing about the lives of other mothers who are able to survive the day to day pitfalls of mothering.  The more children you have, the more others want to hear about it.

Shoppin' CVS

Hopefully, you have used your down time from clipping this week to scan the circulars for great deals for the remainder of the week.  In addition, this was a great time to scan your coupon folders and notebooks for expired coupons.  Let me just make this disclaimer.  I don't think I will ever get used to finding expired coupons that I could have and should have used before they expired.

On the other hand, sales and coupons are all cyclical.  They will come back and come back in droves.  You can bet on that.  Next week, we will get at least three and may be four coupon inserts.  So, clear out those expired coupons and get ready to start clipping.

I got an email this morning from CVS.  This email announced a 20% shopping pass for everyone who gets a flu shot.  Oh, yes!  I am grabbing my sweetie and we are both going to get our flu shots in the morning.  I do not know whether the shopping passes are one per family or one per card member.  I don't know if the shopping pass can be used on sale items or just items not on sale or special pricing.  I will find out more in the morning and let you all know.

There will be several types of flu vaccine available.  Each type will target a specific age and/or health condition of each person who wants a flu shot.  Medicare Part B is accepted.  But, I don't know about regular medical insurance.

Lots of great deals with Extra Care Bucks attached and you can expect huge deals next week with a boat load of coupons to match.  Just remember this:  don't blow all those new coupons on those deals unless they will bring you down to free or just about free.  Many sales later in the coupon cycle can give you even more savings.

Don't waste another minute.  Go on down to CVS and get that flu shot!
