Free Toothpaste at RiteAid!

I Love Couponing at CVS but...

It is no secret that CVS is my favorite pharmacy for couponing.
But, I just saw this in my weekly RiteAid circular.  I really hope you cut the Colgate toothpaste coupon from this past Sunday's coupon insert -10/28 SS (10/28 Smart Source).  If you did, you can get FREE toothpaste at RiteAid!!!

You transaction should go like this:

  • Buy two tubes of Colgate Sensitive or Total toothpaste @ $3.50 each.
  • Use one Colgate coupon ($1 off 2) = $2 OOP (out of pocket)
  • Get two +UP Rewards of $3 each ($6)
  • So, its like getting your toothpaste for FREE!!!
Plus, you can roll those $6 +UP Rewards on two more tubes with another coupon and get those for FREE with nothing out of pocket. Even if you do not have another coupon, you can still get the toothpaste for 50¢ each! and get $6 +UP Reward again!
Limit 4 +UP Rewards per household.
Hope you bought two papers.

Happy Couponing!

Detergent Labels are a Must Read!

CVS Shopping Trip

I was taking advantage of the CVS Proctor & Gamble promotion  (buy $30 of P&G products/get $10 ExtraCare Bucks) when I stumbled upon something that was completely new to me (see the video below).  I began my trip with $12 in ExtraCare Bucks that I received after three CVS Advisor surveys.  (You really should consider joining.)  In other words, I began my shopping trip with CVS' money.  I had to modify the transaction to comply with the CVS coupon policy of "max. 4 like coupons" per transaction.  In addition, this was also printed on the coupons.  So, I substituted two GAIN coupons to complete the deal.

My transaction is outlined below:
  • Buy 4 TIDE & 2 GAIN detergents @ $5.94 each = $35.64
  • $35.64 - $12 ECBs (from CVS Advisor surveys)  = $23.64
  • $23.64 - $6 manufacturers coupons = $17.64 OOP (out of pocket)
  • At the end of the transaction,  I received  $11ECBs ($10 ExtraCareBucks & $1 ECB Green Bag Tag Rebate)
  • $17.64 - $11ECB Reward = $6.64  or $1.11 per bottle

CVS Advisor Program...

Want to increase your ExtraCare Bucks savings?

Let me tell you how I "stumbled" upon a great opportunity to turn a few minutes into a few ExtraCareBucks.  An email with a polling request came to me via my CVS account email.  I took the survey just for the heck of it and I got $10 in ECBs!!!  The survey took me all of three minutes.

I noticed at the conclusion of the survey that there was a sign up for additional surveys via their CVS ADVISOR program.  So far, I have completed about 4 or 5 of those surveys.  Each survey's ECB reward is different.  Some give me $1.50 and this week I completed two for $5 each.  The best part is that the expiration dates are for 30 to 60 days.

I have included the link to the CVS ADVISOR  website for you.  They do not accept everyone for all of the surveys.  They will ask you a couple of questions about your spending and buying preferences to determine if you will fit a particular survey.  If not, they will let you know and you will be contacted the next time they have a new product or advertisement for CVS.

Before you register for the survey you must have a CVS ExtraCare Card; you must register your card on CVS.com (you will receive a coupon when you register for the first time), and you must be at least 18 years old

Tip: Respond as soon as you see the email for a survey opportunity.  They have a quota for each survey and once the quota is reached, no one else will be accepted for that survey.  Also, at the end of each survey, you will be asked if you "enjoyed the survey, thought is was a waste of time, etc." If you answer to the negative, you will probably not be invited to additional surveys.  On the other hand, why do it if you really don't enjoy it. Life is too short to do stuff you do not enjoy just for the money!
