Wrapping up 2015...

This email has some great coupon info.  Save for later if you don't have time to read right now.

Just two more days until "Happy New Year" will be repeated by everyone you greet for the next week or more.  Question?  When do you stop saying, "Happy New Year"?  For me, I'm done with that greeting about 3 days into the new year.  After that, I don't bother.

Anyway, I set my first resolution for the coming year.  "I resolve to keep my desk and office neat and clean."  This is the very first time I have ever proclaimed this and certainly the first time I have put it out for the rest of my friends to see. As of this moment, my office and desk are both neat and clean.  I am ready for the new year!

In cleaning off my desk, I found the email list from my last coupon class in October!  I also found the list of about 20 items I promised to send to my Bizzy Coupon Bees as soon as I got home.  Well, those of you who attended the class might remember that I was sick.  I left that class and went straight to my bed for the next several days.  In the meantime, my desk clutter took on a life of its own and engulfed the email list and the list of items I promised to send to everyone.  Out of sight, out of mind...Thanks again to my cousin Carollera for compiling the list during the class.

Below you will find all but 2 items from the list:  (I will send the PowerPoint presentation from the class and the envelope template in another day or two.  Those two items are on my laptop.)

If it is highlighted in yellow below, it is a link.
I have forgotten why we wanted to know about this pressure cooker :o)

Save without clipping coupons:

Coupon Databases:
  • StillTasty.com - Find out how long you can store foods
  • Canadian Steak Seasoning  - I buy mine at Sam's Club.  I usually get the Grill Mates  (cannot remember why we wanted this link...I use it to season my greens, cabbage, green beans, ribs, and steaks)  It adds great taste without adding lots of salt.  Use sparingly until you figure out how spicy you like your food.
    WalMart Savings Catcher

  • My YouTube Channel (go to YouTube.com & type "redbeelips" or "Sharon Lewis-Conway" in the search field at the top of the page - I haven't added any new videos in the last month.  Promise to do better in 2016!  Subscribe to my channel and you will be notified each time I add a video.

  • Target Cartwheel - You are on your own with this one.  I haven't a clue how to use this money saver :o)
  • Making Laundry Detergent at home - This is the link to several YouTube videos that will show you how to make your own laundry detergent.
  • How to Start a Stockpile with Coupons - This is a google search with several links to blogs and youtube videos that give great ideas about how to start your stockpile.  I a few days I will show you my current stockpile.  The one I had about 3 months ago is shown on my blog and in the powerpoint presentation.  It has been reduced to about 25% of what it was because we are now feeding 13 from a stockpile that was originally meant for 2.  So, we will be rebuilding our stockpile via coupons and big box stores like Sam's and Costco.  That is my
second resolution, "Build a 6 month stockpile for a family of 13."
It will probably take me about 9 months to do that.  I will be giving lots of updates throughout the coming winter, spring, and summer.  Target date for completing the stockpile, October 1, 2016.

Organizing Coupons - YouTube videos to show you different ways to organize your coupons.

  • "Whole Insert Coupon Organizing" This is the method I use.  I no longer use a binder.  I clip when I get ready to go shopping.
  • "Coupon Binder Organizing" - This is the method

I started using when I first began to coupon.  Very time consuming.

BUT, I missed less deals with this method.

Happy New Year!!!!

Happy New Year, Everyone!

Thank you for your holiday wishes for our family.

I was just checking for some deals on copy paper and guess what I found???

Staples is having a sale on copy paper.  One case of 5 reams for $1!!!  That's just 20¢ per ream!!!!  Hurry out and get a couple of cases for yourself and one for your child's favorite (or least favorite) teacher.

The downside is that you have to pay full price for the cases and then submit the rebate information.  It is very easy to do but they are counting on us forgetting to do that.

My little ones love writing notes and drawing on my copy paper.  They raid the paper drawer and I have to keep adding paper to it.  I will be buying several of these (limit 4) and give them to my grandkids teachers.  They will love this much more than an apple.

staples.com/coupons
$1 Staples® 8.5" x 11" multipurpose paper, 5-ream case, after easy rebate and with coupon.
In Store Only
Expires January 2, 2016
In-Store Coupon Code: 25304

Wishing you a Happy and Blessed New Year with lots of high value coupons.

Merry Christmas...!!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Hey, Y'all!

No RedPlum or SmartSource inserts this weekend.  But, there should be a P&G insert in the weekend papers.  Don't forget that you can continue to use the December P&G insert coupons until the end of the year.  Save your January P&G coupons to use after the December ones have been used or expired.

January is a great time to subscribe or renew your newspaper subscriptions.  The key word is "negotiate".  Be ready to unsubscribe if you don't get a great deal on your subscription.  I am paying 79¢ per Sunday paper.  I get four per week.  I really need at least ten but $8 per week is messing with our milk money.  So, I depend on digital coupons, printable coupons, relatives, and friends for additional coupons.  I will also start supplementing my insert coupons with manufacturers coupons that I will get just by asking for them.

I have at least 8 new pairs of hands ready to send emails and post cards to manufacturers requesting coupons for their products.  Every manufacturer has a website and/or facebook presence.  We will contact every manufacturer at least once per quarter and request coupons.  I will keep you updated on our successes and defeats.

Don't forget to download the new restocked printable coupons January 1st:  (included the total coupon values &/or number of coupons; value and number will vary by zip code or region)
I love January because most of the coupons in the 2015 inserts will have expired by the end of December 2015.  The first week of January 2016 should bring papers packed with coupon inserts.  Here's the tentative insert schedule for January 2016.  You may receive more or less inserts depending on the newspaper or region:

January 2016

  • 3 — 2 RedPlum inserts,  2 SmartSource inserts
  • 10 — RedPlum, 2 SmartSource inserts
  • 17 — SmartSource
  • 24 — Red Plum, SmartSource
  • 31 — RedPlum, SmartSource, P&G
Go to:  Click this link For the Mommas for the rest of the coupon insert schedule for 2016.  You can also copy and paste the link below in your browswer.
Read more at http://forthemommas.com/coupons/sunday-coupon-insert-schedule-2016#KHvpfscDwtOzsild.99

Final tip:  Head on out to Sam's Club and stock up on meats that have been marked down drastically.
Why?  Sam's Clubs are closed Christmas and will not be open until December 26th.
Meats close to their expiration date of December 24, 25, or 26 will be marked down.  Go early if you have the business membership and can get in before the general public.

Now, you can see why I love, love, love January for its awesome bounty of coupon inserts and restocked printables!!!

Happy New Year & Happy Couponing, too!

Supermarkets - How Stores Compare for Price

Well, Hello, Everyone!

Many thanks to all of you who sent me get well wishes.

My life has been like living in a whirlwind over the last three weeks or so.  The demographics of my home have increased five-fold.  Instead of two adults, there are now an additional TEN children and their father living in our home.  I am deliberately refraining from giving any details about how this came about...please read my book :0)  It should be finished in about ten years or when I have some "spare" time (whichever comes first).

Needless to say, couponing has taken on a whole new meaning.  No longer just a hobby, my couponing is now a necessity.  Only God knew four years ago (when I began couponing), that this season in my life would come.  Even my blog, TheBizzyCouponBee, has been a great help as I navigate the day to day life of a family of thirteen.  I hope to find time to share our adventures in couponing, cooking, and all things "#TeamConway" via a blog.  It will highlight shopping, couponing, and organizational tips for large families.

Let me be very clear, I now have no experience as the "Old Lady in a Shoe...".  So, any tips you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

On to couponing...Here's a great source of information I saw first on my local news yesterday.  If you live in metro Wash/MD/VA area, I leave you with this shopping tip Supermarkets - How Stores Compare for Price.  This link compares some of the area's supermarkets to see which ones save its customers the most money.  My favorite store (ShopRite) was very competitive with other stores even without coupons. Here's the link to this week's two coupon inserts:  RedPlum 11/15  &  Get ready for Black Friday by checking out BlackFriday.com

Need a source of quality meat at a great price?  Buy a turkey or two; cook it; cut it up and separate into dark and light meat; freeze it OR buy the bird frozen and use later in the year.  Use for soups and stews.  Google "turkey recipes" and get ready for some creative ways to use that big ol' bird.  Turkey this time of year can bottom out at below 50¢/lb.  Time to "gobble" up those savings :o)

Finally, if you need help with your couponing, please do not hesitate to either call me (301.210.5091) or send me an email.

Happy Couponing!

Upcoming Coupons and Deals...

Hey, Everyone!

I send you greeting from Biloxi, Mississippi.  We left MD Monday midday and arrived late afternoon Tuesday.  The beautiful Gulf weather greeted us very warmly.  It felt hot because the weather in Maryland has already started heading to cool and crisp instead of hot and steamy.

I am in the early stages of a new website construction.  My current website will not allow me to update my tabs.  The website is free so I really cannot complain.  I could but I won't.  The new website should be up and running by the first of the year.  I will keep you posted.

Just wanted to update you with the latest coupon news and deals:
  • Goya Product Coupons (must register)
  • 10.18 Coupon Preview - One Coupon Insert this weekend (Smart Source)
  • Homework:  Type "Your store or pharmacy name" + "coupon deals" or "deals" - You will get a ton of websites that will actually give you coupon match ups and deals at your favorite stores.
  • Here's the coupon deals and match ups for CVS as an example:  Click this link CVS Coupon Deals  (the deals for wk of 10.18 will be posted late Friday/early Saturday)
  • try this website for even more deals: KrazyKouponLady

I have many, many websites that give me insight into the underground coupon world of deals, coupons, and ways to say money when I shop.  Take my same advice I gave to you about shopping:  stick to just one grocery store and one pharmacy.

Study the prices, the managers, the check out people, the sales cycle, & coupon policy for each store.  You may decide to change supermarkets or pharmacies but still stick to just one of each and become an expert at that store.

Websites are the same.  Find one database and one information or deal posting website that gives you the most information and stick with them.  Learn to navigate their pages like it was your favorite novel.  Read the website(s) over and over; study them; and then visit them often.

My two favorite websites are Hot Coupon World Database and Krazy Koupon Lady Store Deals (type "deals" in the search box at top of the website)  The name of the deals and the time that they were posted will appear. Register for more access; free registration.

Finally, please set up an email account and a facebook account that you will use only for your coupon registrations and receiving coupon emails.  If you don't, your regular email will quickly fill up with so many coupon related emails that you will not be able to find your personal emails.  This has happened to me for both my email accounts.  You have been warned.  I hope it is not too late.

Happy Couponing!

Living off the Stores...

Free Coupon Classes
Thursdays, October 8th & October 29th; 7 PM-9 PM
at
Queen's Chapel United Methodist Church, Beltsville, MD
Freewill donations of canned veggies will be greatly appreciated.
How many cans? We will leave that up to you.

Hey, Everyone!

Thought I would drop y'all a line about my coupon shopping this summer.  In short, I haven't done any supermarket couponing since May/June.  My family has been living off the "stores" in our basement storehouse.  We have supplemented them with purchases at Sam's Club and HMart for our dairy (eggs & milk), produce and meats.  My CVS shopping has also been limited but I have done some couponing for staples like laundry soap, toilet tissue and paper towels.

We have been saving money by not shopping.  Yes, tons of fabulous coupons have expired in my dandy brand new coupon carrier.  But, I have saved lots of money by using what I have in my "storehouse" and freezer.  The savings could have been much more but my dear husband is addicted to Sam's Club and Costco.  So, he sneaks to those stores on a regular basis.  Despite that, we still saved because I would have been going to the supermarket AND to Sam's and Costco, as well.

Now, is as good a time as any to start beefing up your pantry to carry you deep into the winter months.  Stock up on fixin's for hearty soups, stews, casseroles, and desserts.  Freeze the last of the summer bounty of veggies and fruits before the first frost.  Grab extra family size packs of poultry and meats of your choice when they are on sale or reduced for quick sale.  Freeze in smaller packages to make them more likely to be used for small family dinners or grouped for larger holiday feasts.

See a real bargain...buy as much as you can afford and store or freeze.  Remember, only buy what you will use, eat, or share.  Build up your storehouse so that you can help your family and bless others from the bounty.

Three inserts this weekend:  RedPlum    SmartSource    P&G BrandSaver
Check the expiration dates closely.  Some coupons seem to be expiring in as little as one to two weeks!

Happy Couponing!

Fwd: CVS Ad Deals 8/23-8/29/15 FREE Little Remedies PediaCare! ($4.29 Value) PLUS more deals!

Hey, Y'all!

First, I just wanted to give you an update on my grandkids who are visiting with us.  They are staying another week!  Okay, yes we (Big Hamp and I) are happy and OMGoodness are we tired.  Eleven grandkids who never seem to get tired can either send you to bed for a long winter's nap or make you rise to the occasion.  We have risen! :o)

This week we are taking four of the youngest to Dutch Wonderland in
Lancaster, PA for a three day camping trip.  We are leaving on Wednesday and returning Saturday morning.  This trip will be a piece of cake with just four and not eleven grands along for the ride.

I am posting the coupon news early because we will be busy for the next couple of days getting ready for our trip.  I will have more time after Tuesday but wanted you to get a head start on saving for the coming Labor Day weekend and Back-to-School homework routine.
  • Sneak Peak 8.30.15 Coupons
  • Subscribe to Cuckoo for Coupon Deals - Subscribe only for the deals you want to see and how often you want to see them in your email.
  • Can't find that coupon for a specific product? Try using a coupon database.  Here's the one I use most often:  HotCouponWorld
  • Here's the links to several others I have used with great success.   If you don't find coupons for your product on one database, you should search at least one other database:  Click this link for several other coupon databases.
You really do need a "throw away" email address just for all of your coupon emails.  How about "EvaCoupons" or "QponJeff"@whatever.com?  Whatever you decide, do it before your inbox bursts at the seams from the tons of coupon stuff you will receive when you register on different websites.  I did not do that and now I am stuck with all this coupon stuff mixed in with my regular emails.  I must get a new email address.  Haven't decided on a new catchy name just yet.  Any suggestions?

Ready...set...Happy Couponing!

Ad Scans & Deals...ShopRite Weekly Ad Preview (MD Edition)

Hey, Y'all!

I must apologize.  This post was started Thursday evening!!!  But, I have been juggling couponing with my 11 grand-kids this week and the grand-kids won :o)  We have had an awesome time these last 7 days and I can't wait till they leave so they can hurry up and come back again.

I was blessed to take one of my newest Coupon Bees on her first very first coupon adventure (@ShopRite) Thursday evening.  Her savings were over $80 (including sales & coupons).  She got $130 worth of groceries for $50!  She was so happy and so was I.  I could have given her the coupons or shopped for her but instead I taught her to coupon. "...teach a man (or woman) to fish and he (or she) will eat for a lifetime."

Here's one lesson I taught her.  Go to the ShopRite homepage (or CVS, Walgreens, RiteAid, Giant, etc) a day or two before the end of their sales cycle.  For ShopRite, their new ads appear in the wee hours each Friday morning or sometime on Thursday for the pharmacies.

Weekly *Ad Scans and Coupon Deals Links
(*Ad Scans are previews of the sales expected at a store or pharmacy the following week.)

You can see the weekly ShopRite ad for the current week and the next week in the screen shot below.

When you compare the current week's prices with the coming week's prices, that will tell you whether to buy this week or wait until next week.

Finally, we are nearing the end of the month.  You know what that means?  Time to download the last of those printable coupons this month before the new ones are posted.  Here's a few links to get you started:  (Bookmark these links and refer back to them at the beginning and end of each month)

I no longer "mourn" missed sales because I know that there will always be another sale with some awesome coupons to match them.

Happy Couponing!

Super Doubles at HT & other stuff, too...

Hey, Y'all!

Just one Insert expected this weekend (SmartSource 8/16/15).  Lots of great coupons to help you stay within your Back-to-School budget.

Staples, WalMart, and your local supermarkets are having some awesome back-to-school sales.  Match up those coupons from the last couple of weeks of inserts and you can send your little ones and bigger one off to school and ready to learn.

Staples still has the 1¢ per ream paper on sale at least until the end of this week.

Harris Teeter's "Super Doubles" event starts this morning at 7 am and ends next Tuesday at the close of business.  During HT's super doubles event,  all $2 coupons are worth a whopping $4! The only thing is that a lot of coupons over $1 are now saying, "Do Not Double".

I rarely shop at HT because their prices are so much higher than the other stores in my area here in Maryland.  Super Doubles more than make up that difference.

I have ton of rain checks from HT and I will be shopping with those and pairing them to some great coupons.  I love rain checks because I can make my own sale when I have more money for shopping or the perfect coupon.  My rain checks were for items on sale but not available in the store.  Super Doubles + rainchecks + coupons = Great Savings!!

Ebates

Hey, Y'all!

Y'all know I'm all about saving money.  Saving dollars, when you don't have to do anything, is even better.  All I have to do is click one button when I visit a website to make a purchase and Ebates does the rest.  My Ebates checks come to me on a regular basis (I do a lot of online shopping) without having to ask for it or send in forms or receipts.

I have included the section of an email I received this morning telling me that my next Ebates payout will be $26.90.  That's based on a percentage (varies with each website) of the purchases I have made over the last couple of months.

If you click on the little man below, you will be able to find out how to join in on the Ebates savings when you shop online.  It's important to click on the little man because I will get $5 if two of y'all click and join Ebates, too...And, make a purchase of $25 sometime in the future (no time limit).   $5 is $5 and I'm not too proud to accept $5 whenever it shows up :o)

I have been a member of Ebates for about 9 months and have saved over $50!!!  Every penny helps put groceries on my table or fuel in my gas tank.

Two Inserts for 8.9.15

Hey, Y'all!

I have not been on a supermarket couponing adventure for nearly two months!  My father has been ill.  He has been in the hospital 8 times since the beginning of the year.  The last time was this past Monday.  But, God is merciful and has allowed him to still be on this side of Heaven a little while longer.

I have a stack of inserts from which I have not clipped a single coupon.  But, I think I will have to go into coupon overdrive because my 11 grandkids will be spending the coming week with us.  They eat like football players and I have to go into super coupon shopping mode before they arrive this weekend.

There are just two inserts this weekend but we should still be able to get some great deals on lots of products.  School coupons in last week's inserts can make for some awesome school deals this week, too.  Don't forget to get the 1¢/ream paper at Staples this week.  The deal was extended another week.  It just might appear next week, too.  Bookmark Staples.com/coupons and check back each week to see the hidden coupon deals at Staples.  Why doesn't everyone do this?

Two inserts this week:Check the expiration dates carefully because some coupons have only two weeks before they expire.
Hope you have been checking out the reloaded printable coupons.  Each month the most popular printable coupon sites are reloaded with lots of coupons for great deals.  In most cases, you only have to register with you email address.  Don't use your regular email address.  Create an email address just for your coupon email.  Something fun like, "CouponJane@abcmail.com".  I should have done that four years ago but I didn't.  Now, my email address is overrun with coupon emails that fill up my email box everyday.

That's it for now...
Happy Couponing!

Three Inserts!!!

Hey, Everyone!

There are three inserts in this weekend's paper.  Click these links to see the coupons you can expect in each insert.  As always, remember, the coupons you actually get will vary depending upon your newspaper, city, state, or even your neighborhood.
Throw July's P&G insert away and start using the August P&G insert for some great savings.

Don't forget to get your 1¢ per ream paper at Staples.  The last day is today!!!  Here's the link for that coupon (limit 4 reams):  Staples 1¢ per ream paper (after rebate).  OR get a 5 ream case of paper (limit 4 cases) for $5 per case of 5 reams (after rebate):  Staples $5 for one case of 5 reams

Tons and tons and tons of back-to-school coupons and school stuff on sale to use with those coupons.  Get those coupons and get your free school supplies.  Don't just buy enough for the first few weeks.  STOCK UP!  Buy enough for each child for the entire year while its just about free with your coupons.

7.26.15 Coupon Previews

Hey, Y'all!
We are expecting 5 coupon inserts this weekend.  That more than makes up for the coupon insert drought last weekend.

Here's the link to the five inserts for this coming weekend:  The Bizzy Coupon Bee coupon preview.  Don't forget to get your paper on Saturday.  That will give you a sneak peak at next week's sales.  Compare them to the current week and get out the coupons that you can still use for next week.

Finally, the new P&G insert will come before the month ends.  That means you will still be able to use the July coupons until the end of the month.  Use those first before using the August P&G coupons.

Remember, bookmark CouponPreviews.info so you will know what the next coupons will be even before I email them to you.

Happy Couponing!

Partial Coupon Preview for July 26th

Hey, Y'all!
It looks like we will not get inserts this coming week (July 19th).  But, the sales will still happen and the coupon stash you have will help you rake in a boat-load of money saving deals.

Back-to-School sales are in full force.  Keep an eye out for coupons to match with those sales.  The best thing to do is to scan the sales fliers; circle the items you want to buy; now check a coupon database to see if there is a coupon to stack with that sale.

How can you tell it is really a good sale?  My standard is that I want the sale price to be at least 30% lower than the regular price.  The coupon (if you have one) will usually drop the price another 20-30% or more.

Here's the coupon previews for July 26, 2015 - FIVE inserts are expected.  I am so excited that I can hardly type: Two RedPlum, Two SmartSource, and the PG Insert for August!
Here's the coupon insert schedule for August 2015:
August
 2015

2 – RedPlum, SmartSource
9 – RedPlum, SmartSource
16 – SmartSource
23 – RedPlum, SmartSource
30 – RedPlum, SmartSource, P&G

$6 Savings added to your account!

Hey, Y'all!

SavingStar's profile photoI hope you can see what I got in my email this morning from Saving Star(Check the message below.)  I selected two deals from the many choices of products that I intended to buy.  The deals were: buy one Noxzema product and get $1 and/or buy $20 worth of Noxzema and/or Ponds products and get $5 added to my Saving Star account.

I cashed in on both deals and now have $6 just for shopping for products I was going to buy anyway.  But, I made the deal even sweeter because I used a 25% off CVS ExtraCare coupon.  Ponds and Noxzema have been a staple for the women in my family for three generations.  My grandma had not one wrinkle when she died at 98 and my mother has not one wrinkle and she is 90.  Y'all know me...I'm almost 70, see any wrinkles? :o)

Here's some money saving beauty advice from someone who only wears red lip💋stick.  If you are over 40 and don't have wrinkles or your momma and grand momma don't have wrinkles, save your money.  Don't waste it on anti-wrinkle potions.  Just get a jar of a gentle soap or face cleanser and a moisturizer.  Hey, I just saved you a bundle without using coupons. :o)

This Saving Star deal and others can be found with this link:  SavingStar.com  The sign up effort depends entirely upon how many customer loyalty cards you are packing.  I have over 40!  So, it took me a minute or two :o)  But, by spending the time, Saving Star helped me get my 28" View Sonic computer monitor for FREE

While you are still in sign up mode, sign up for Checkout51.com.  Be sure you are connected to the USA site and not the Canadian site when you sign up.  Look in the upper right-hand corner for the USA flag symbol.

Finally, sign up for high dollar ExtraCare Bucks on CVSAdvisor.com  You will receive surveys from CVS a few times a year to complete for $5, $10, and even $15 a pop.  I have completed at least 5 or more this year and could have done more.  However, the links to the surveys appear randomly and if you are not sitting at your computer to jump on them when they appear, you will miss out.  The site is very popular and only accepts a fixed number of participants for a survey.  I have missed checking my email several times only to find out I missed a survey.  Surveys are based on your spending habits and if you don't meet the profile for a survey, you will not be compensated.

That's it!

Happy Couponing!
